Nellie's pups: Day 3
Nellie is feeling much more comfortable venturing out of the whelping box today. Had time for a much needed bath and blow dry. All puppies continue to do well. It's amazing how early their personalities are starting to show.

Things are finally quieting down at Paws Upon the Cowlitz. Nellie delivered 7 healthy puppies last night. Four boys and 3 girls. They, as well as mom are doing fantastic . All of the humans are very tired after a night of no sleep, anticipation and delivery. Please check in for daily posts and updates. It's going to be fun to watch the puppies grow. It won't be long before they have their "Paws upon the Cowlitz".

Nellie's puppies are due in nine days! Final preparations are in the works. She now has access to her whelping box for nesting. Temperature is being checked twice a day for signs of oncoming labor. She is out and about on the property several times a day on low key exercise walks. She is no longer interested in chasing ducks. Her belly continues to grow. There is enormous anticipation here at Paws Upon the Cowlitz!!!!! Eleven puppies coming soon!! Visit our website for more puppy info....
